While at one of the True Value markets, I ran into Dick Van Patten hawking those miracle scissors that cut through pennies. What was sad is that people were just walking by the booth without even noticing him standing there. There was some PR guy (known in the trade as a "handler") who grabbed me as I was walking by and asked if I wanted a picture, so I said "Why not?". Why put it on my web page? It was the only picture of me I could find on my desk to scan into my PC.
