The Garden show was the first Springsteen concert I'd seen, and in hindsight probably about the best show I've seen (and I've seen a lot of shows since then). The show itself (standard intense Darkness tour set) was amazing, plus I managed to get a seventh row orchestra seat from a scalper for $30. Add great show plus great seat, and it adds up to an incredible night. I'd say the next best shows I saw were the GOTJ Asbury Park show (11/24/96), Nassau Coliseum (12/30/80), opening night Brendan Byrne arena (River tour), and final night at Giants Stadium (BITUSA tour).
This is a button which WPLJ was giving out at Madison Square Garden in August 1978 to commemorate the three dates Bruce played.

This is the cover art for the promo 5" CD of "The Ghost of Tom Joad". It was distributed free at the New York Beacon Theater shows on 12/12/95 and 12/13/95 to anyone donating a winter coat. The Jewel box has a sticker on it labeled "102.7 FM WNEW" with a graphic of the Statue of Liberty with her hand raised holding an electric guitar.
